TelFree SIP registration configuration detail:

The TelFree platform in SA requires SIP authentication with your 8775xxxxx number and password.

The detail below:

SIP REGISTRAR or SIP SERVER: sip99.telfreesa.com

SIP REGISTER PORT: 5060 or 6666

PREFERRED CODEC: G729

Usefull tips:

• Set your SIP device to re-register at least every 60 seconds. This will ensure that your device regularly re-registers with the TelFree platform. This is important in the event of a dropped internet connection or access link somewhere in the internet cloud.
• Make certain voice does not compete with email, http or other protocols over your internet access link. This will result in poor voice quality. It is important to configure the QoS on your internet access device (ADSL modem etc.)
• Make certain your device or ISP's DNS (Domain name server) can resolve the name sip99.telfreesa.com to the correct IP address. Failure to do so will result in your device not being able to register to the SIP server.
• Always try to use your preferred codec as G729. TelFree does support other codecs. For more information please contact our helpdesk.
